Add WP Image Fixer to your AI assistant with one URL, then connect your WordPress site with a single approval click. No plugin required, no password shared.

1. Copy the server URL

2. Add it to your assistant

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors.
  2. Add a custom connector. Name it WP Image Fixer and paste the server URL above.
  3. Save, then turn WP Image Fixer on in a new chat.

Once WP Image Fixer is listed in the ChatGPT app directory, you can simply search for it there and click Connect instead.

Claude

WP Image Fixer is in Claude’s connector directory: one click adds it.

Or add it by hand: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, name it WP Image Fixer and paste the server URL above.

WP Image Fixer is a standard remote MCP server over Streamable HTTP. Add it with the same URL.

3. Connect your WordPress site

Then say: “Connect my WordPress site” — the assistant asks for your site address and gives you a one-click approval link.

The approval opens on your own WordPress site and creates a WordPress Application Password for WP Image Fixer. Your login password is never shared, and you can revoke access any time in wp-admin → Users → Profile.

If connecting doesn’t work

  • Permalinks set to “Plain” — open Settings → Permalinks in wp-admin, choose Post name, click Save Changes, and ask again.
  • Application Passwords turned off — usually by a security plugin. Turn that option off in the plugin’s settings, then ask again.
  • Still stuck? Email [email protected] with your site address.

4. Try it

Some things to ask:

  • “Scan my media library — how much can I save?”
  • “Why is my home page slow?”
  • “Shrink my 20 heaviest images and convert them to WebP.”
  • “Which images are missing alt text? Write descriptions for them.”
  • “Undo the last fix.”

You’ll always get a preview before anything changes. Track fixes and savings on your account page.

Optional: the free YLabs Image Fixer Connector WordPress plugin makes replaced images keep the exact same URL and media ID. It’s not required — everything works without it.
